Frithjof Rüde , pseudonym: Ferdinand Terpe , (born July 19, 1905 in Penig , † February 28, 1970 in Leipzig ) was a German actor and director .

Life

The son of a judicial councilor attended the Königin-Carola-Gymnasium in Leipzig from 1919 to 1923 . Then he turned to acting. In the mid-twenties he appeared on the stages in Gotha and Berlin . One of his first major roles was the title character in Friedrich Forster's play Der Graue , which the experimental stage in Berlin performed in a night performance.

Frithjof Rüde was married to Charlotte, nee Kummer, from 1929 until the divorce in 1937. They had a son (* 1930). In 1932, as an employee of the Weltbühne , Rüde published his speech to people becoming unemployed .

During the Nazi era , he played smaller roles in German films with the pseudonym Ferdinand Terpe in the 1940s, some with propaganda content. The pseudonym Terpe is derived from Terpsichore , muse of choral poetry and dance ; Ferdinand is originally composed of the Gothic elements * frith "Peace, protection from armed violence" and * nanth "Boldness".

After the Second World War , engagements as an actor and director took him to the stages in Halle , Gera and Meiningen . From 1955 to 1969 he was a member of the ensemble of the Städtische Bühnen in Leipzig. Here he directs the German premiere of Johannes R. Becher's drama Winter Battle in 1964 . He also worked in DEFA productions .
