Ferdinand von Bothmer

Anton Friedrich Wilhelm Ferdinand von Bothmer (born August 5, 1758 in Bennemühlen , † November 19, 1826 in Stolzenau ) was a German administrative lawyer and Hanoverian captain.

Life

Ferdinand von Bothmer came from the baronial line of the Lower Saxon noble family von Bothmer . His father Georg Christian von Bothmer was treasurer and court judge in Bennemühlen near Bissendorf in the Principality of Lüneburg .

From Michaelis 1778 he studied law at the University of Göttingen and is there from 1778 in the protocols of the Hanoverian Landsmannschaft as their member. In December 1781 he passed his examination in Hanover and entered the Hanoverian civil service. He came to the Lauenau Office as an auditor and in 1785 became Supernumerar- Drost at the Nienburg Office . In 1789 he was promoted to the real Drosten in Diepholz . In 1795 he was transferred to Stolzenau in the county of Hoya and in 1814 appointed chief captain in the Stolzenau office.

For a short time he was also assessor at the court in Celle .

He was with Albertine Juliane, geb. von Brandt called von Müller married. The Minister Friedrich von Bothmer and the Justice Council and MP Karl von Bothmer were the couple's sons.
