Life

Baldi had studied humanities and worked as a teacher when he began his film career in 1952 through the mediation of the producer Tiziano Longo ; initially he made comedies and entertainment films. In 1960 he co- directed the period film David and Goliath ( David e Golia ) with Orson Welles with Richard Pottier . While Baldi made so-called ' sandal films' in the early 1960s , in the following years he switched to the genre of the spaghetti western . He often worked with Tony Anthony , but their attempts to revive the 3-D film failed. Baldi's last films were cheap mercenary films related to the Vietnam War theme; including the rare case ( Missione finale ) of a film shot in North Korea . Baldi made a total of 38 films between 1952 and 1988, including co-directing.

Baldi was also led under the pseudonyms Ferdy Baldwin and Ted Kaplan .
