Ferruccio Piva

Ferruccio Piva (* 1924 / 25 , † 21 / 22. October 2008 ) was a san-marinesischer politicians.

Piva was a doctor by profession. He was a member of the San Marinese parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale , as a member of the Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese (PDCS) for eight legislative periods from 1951 to 1988.

Piva belonged to the Congresso di Stato, the government of San Marino, from 1959 to 1961 and again from 1964 to 1976. From 1959 until his resignation in 1961, he was Minister of Education and Justice (Deputato per la Pubblica Istruzione, la Giustizia e il Culto) . After the parliamentary elections in 1964 he returned to the cabinet and became Minister of Labor (Deputato per il Lavoro) , in 1969 he became Minister of Public Works and Communications. During the government reshuffle in 1973 Piva took over the Ministry of Education and Culture (Deputato per la Pubblica Istruzione e la Cultura) until 1974 . From 1974 to 1976 he headed the department for communication and transport (Deputato per le Communicazioni ei Trasporti) .

Piva was elected head of state ( Capitano Reggente ) four times (1959/60, 1965, 1969 and 1974).
