Ifeanyi Festus Ezeli-Ndulue (born October 21, 1989 in Benin City ) is a retired Nigerian basketball player .

Career

Ezeli grew up in Nigeria but moved to the United States at the age of 14 , where he lived in Sacramento , California . After graduating from high school , Ezeli played four years at Vanderbilt University , where he also graduated with a degree in economics . In the 2012 NBA Draft , Ezeli was selected 30th by the Golden State Warriors . After an inconspicuous rookie year , in which he also played in the development league D-League at the Santa Cruz Warriors , Ezeli seriously injured his knee in the summer of 2013, which completely suspended the 2013/14 season. He returned for the new season and won the 2015 NBA championship with the Warriors . In the 2015/16 season , Ezeli got more games and increased his average to 7.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. However, due to injuries, he only played 46 of 82 games. With the Warriors he reached the NBA finals again, but lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers .

In the summer of 2016, Ezeli signed a contract with the Portland Trail Blazers as a so-called Restricted Free Agent . The Warriors surrendered the rights of Ezeli, which could switch to the Blazers. However, due to severe knee injuries, Ezeli never played a game for the Blazers and was fired from the Blazers on June 30, 2017. Ezeli ended his professional career in 2017 due to severe knee injuries.
