Filia Irata ( Zornige Töchter , literally translated The Angry Daughter ) is a German band of medieval music from the Rhineland , which mainly appears at medieval markets and historical castle and town festivals . She combines original medieval music from different countries with her own texts and rock elements .

history

Filia Irata was founded in 1998 as the first all-women band on the medieval scene by Cornelia Fuchs, a founding member of In Extremo . After a few line-up changes, the band appears - still one of the few groups in this genre with an exclusively female line-up - at castle and city festivals, medieval markets, concerts and banquets in Germany and other European countries (France, Denmark, Spain), among others also in 2008 and 2010 at the WGT .

In addition, the musicians were and are also employed in other projects, for example as guest musicians in theater and variety performances or with other bands (such as Schelmish ).
