Building description
The church is a Gothic , Baroque-style building from the 14th century with a polygonal choir closure and a north-facing sacristy . At the end of the 18th century, the nave was extended to the west, a slightly lower vestibule was added and a roof turret with arched sound openings and a graceful onion helmet was added to the nave . A bell cast around 1300 hangs in the bell storey. The window openings of the Gothic eastern part were redesigned during the Baroque era, but the Gothic stone frame was retained. The closed, wooden vestibule stands on classicistic baluster pillars. You enter the church through a chamfered keel arch portal .
On the flat ceiling of the nave, traces of the stenciled ceiling painting from the 16th century have been preserved in the eastern part. The wooden west gallery over two wooden supports was built in the 19th century. The pointed arched triumphal arch with a wide arched opening was provided with modernly painted local stones. A baroque reworked vault rises above the choir, with a dome with stitch caps at the five- eighth end . Remains of consoles with coat of arms are still present from the former, Gothic ridge vault .
