The Roman Catholic branch church Wieserberg is located in Wieserberg in the municipality of Dellach im Gailtal in the Hermagor district in Carinthia . The branch church of the Grafendorf parish church in Gailtal , consecrated to St. Helena , belongs to the Kötschach deanery in the Gurk-Klagenfurt diocese . The oldest monument in the Gail Valley is under monument protection .

history

The Romanesque church, around 10 meters long and 7 meters wide , was built around 1300 as a hall with a rounded triumphal arch and a semicircular apse . Noteworthy are the frescoes in the interior of the church, on which, among other things, Christ, the prophet Zacharias and the kings David and Solomon are shown.

The church currently belongs to the Grafendorf parish (Kirchbach parish ) and is mainly used for weddings and cultural events such as classical concerts.
