Filip Gavranović (born October 2, 1991 in Bjelovar ) is a Croatian handball player .

Career

The 1.98 meter tall and 100 kilograms pivot player made his international debut with RK Porec in the season 2011/12 in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup . In the following year he moved to Slovenia to RK Koper , thereby taking part in the qualifying tournament of the EHF Champions League . They lost both duels and then played in the EHC Cup, in which they got into the group phase, where they were eliminated against, among others, Frisch Auf Göppingen . Since the 2013/14 season he has been playing in the Handball League Austria for Bregenz Handball . In his first season in Austria he was one of the top ten goalscorers in the league straight away. With the Vorarlbergers he took part in the EHC Cup again in 2013/14 , but could not overcome RK Maribor Branik in the second qualifying round. In January 2015 Gavranović announced that he would play for Pfadi Winterthur from the beginning of the 2015/16 season . After two years in the National League A , the circuit moved back to RK Poreč. After only one year in his home country, he was signed again by a Swiss club with HC Kriens-Luzern .
