The Hamburg Berlin Film School is an association founded in Hamburg in 1994 , which serves the education and training of filmmakers.

The Hamburg Berlin Film School is located in the Filmhaus in the Hamburg Zeisehallen . It offers numerous courses, the subjects of which range from film editing, camera work and assistant director to speaker training and documentary film . One focus is on screenwriting training ; the film school acts as an interface between the next generation and the German film industry.
Author's school, holiday academy & sponsorship group
Until 2011, selected writing students were able to complete a one-year training course to become scriptwriters at the film school . The writing school was u. a. supported by the Medienstiftung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein as well as by film productions like Desert Film or Ziegler-Film.
The film school offers an annual summer school for young people (13-18 years of age) and maintains a renowned sponsorship group.
Alumni
Alumni of the Filmschule Hamburg Berlin are u. a. Tatort author André Georgi and Jan Braren, author of the film Homevideo . ( Grimme Prize , Rose d'Or , German Television Prize )
Club members
The association's members include well-known filmmakers such as Gisela Tuchtenhagen , Wolfgang Kirchner , Joachim von Vietinghoff , Janette Rauch ( Rote Rosen , emergency call Hafenkante ), the former RBB editor Dagmar Pfeiffer and the author Eckhard Theophil ( men's pension ). The chairwoman of the association is the documentary filmmaker Margot Neubert-Maric.
