history

Five! Nearly!! Hits !!! was founded in 2005 by Raffael Scheiber and Gregor Böhm in Munich. Shortly afterwards, Frank Feiler and Lucas Fernandez joined the band. Christian Heine, managing director of the Munich indie club Atomic Café, took over the management and founded the Constant Mesh label . The fifth appearance was a show as the opening act for the English cult band Art Brut . Concerts all over Germany and in London followed. The DJs of the English "Club NME", the club night of the music magazine NME discovered the band and regularly played their songs in front of 2,000 people in London. The band toured extensively and played in supporting acts for The Rifles , Little Man Tate and Sportfreunde Stiller , among others . The American magazine Spin also became aware of her and wrote an article about Five! Nearly!! Hits !!! .

In November 2006 the EP For a Fiver was released in both England and Germany. The band went on tour extensively and performed a. a. as opening act for Sportfreunde Stiller , The Rifles and The View . On August 31, 2007 the debut album Brothers from Different Mothers was released in Germany, on September 3 in England. In April 2008 Fernandez and Feiler left the band for personal and professional reasons. Dominik Sauter and Alexander Föllmer from Pardon Ms. Arden occupied the positions on bass and drums. In September 2008 the band was already back in the studio and recorded their new vinyl single Keep My Name Out Your Mouth , which was made available for free download from countless weblogs with the band's permission. In December 2008, the band announced their breakup in a blog on their MySpace profile for no further reasons.

The band performed again at the annual Flowerstreet Festival in the Feierwerk cultural center on September 13, 2014.
