Fletcher gag
Fletcher Knebel (born October 1, 1911 in Dayton , Ohio , † February 26, 1993 in Honolulu , Hawaii ) was an American writer and journalist .
Life
After high school in Yonkers ( New York ) Knebel spent a year in Paris and studied at the Sorbonne . Back in Ohio, he attended Miami University in Oxford , where he graduated in 1934. After graduating, he worked as a journalist for various newspapers. In 1960 he wrote a chapter in the book Candidates 1960 on John F. Kennedy and began a career as a writer. His best known novel is Seven Days in May from 1962, which was filmed by John Frankenheimer . Knebel was married four times between 1935 and 1985 and committed suicide in his home in Hawaii in 1993 .
