Floccus (flo) ( Latin for "flaky") is a type of cloud in which each individual cloud looks like a small cumulus- shaped pad, the lower part of which is more or less frayed, whereby virga formation often occurs. This term is used for cirrus , cirrocumulus , altocumulus and stratocumulus .
