Perlucidus ( Latin for "transparent"; abbreviation : pe ) are clouds in extensive patches, fields or layers with clearly defined, but only very small gaps between the individual cloud parts. Through these gaps, the sun, the moon, the blue sky or the clouds above are clearly visible. This subspecies can be observed at the same time as the translucidus or opacus subspecies .

This name is used for Altocumulus and Stratocumulus .
