Intortus (in) ( lat. "Twisted" from intorquere "entangle, twist, intertwine") is a type of cirrus cloud , the threads of which are very irregularly curved and often seemingly intertwined with one another.

Like other cirrus clouds, Intortus occur at high altitudes.
