Flight 507 - Trapped in a time warp (Original title: Termination Point ) is a Canadian science fiction - thriller from 2007 with Lou Diamond Phillips and Jason Priestley .

In the Midwest of the United States, a plane crashes - there are no survivors. When clarifying the cause of the crash, however, it turns out that flight 507 will not take off until the next day! Apparently the machine has traveled back in time.
On board were the agent Caleb Smith's wife and daughter and the scientist Dr. Daniel Winter, who had brought a teleporter on board. The teleporter makes it possible to travel through space and time. When the device is activated, a wormhole opens , allowing you to get from one place to another in the universe in no time . So far, the experiments have only been successfully completed on small creatures such as mice.
Before the alleged crash, the passenger plane was on a normal scheduled flight to Mexico . Claire, Caleb's wife, and her daughter Sarah were going to Mexico for their vacation. In order not to endanger the secret “Teleporter” project, the government decides to have the plane shot down by two fighter jets . Caleb tries desperately to negotiate with those responsible to prevent the shooting. But finally the US President gives the telephone instruction to shoot down the machine.
Dr. But Daniel Winter manages to activate the teleporter by remote control just in time and thus prevent it from being shot down. The aircraft and its occupants disappear into another dimension - the rockets hit nowhere. But not all passengers survive this leap in space and time: only those who are in the immediate vicinity of Dr. Winter or the teleporter are still on board.
David L. Martin - a corrupt agent who does all secret jobs for money - and Liam, his accomplice, want to get possession of the teleporter. To do this, they bring the passengers under their control and force the scientist to teleport the aircraft back to its original dimension, to the coordinates they want.
Meanwhile, during his research, Caleb comes across a woman who has a relationship with Dr. Winter entertains. When Caleb visits her, he finds her tied up on the bed. Apparently other agents are after her too, namely to find out where the second remote control for the teleporter is. The woman can tell Caleb in a weak voice where to find the remote control: in a bank. Caleb immediately goes to look for it and inspects the lockers in the banks in the small town. In vain for the time being, but he finds the device hidden in a money box in the woman's house.
When the wormhole opened, a huge vortex has formed in the atmosphere, which emits electromagnetic impulses and lightning bolts. Everything that is struck by lightning disappears from the visible world and is destroyed: helicopters, parts of buildings as well as people and animals become victims of this phenomenon. Scientists observe a dramatic increase in the size of the vortex and predict that the entire universe will be destroyed if the wormhole does not close again.
The eddy can also be observed on board the passenger plane, from the other side, as it were - from the foreign dimension; the plane threatens to be drawn in. Dr. Winter notices that the teleporter's energy reserves are running low. He sends Sarah to the luggage room, where the teleporter is in a metal case. You should replace an empty fuel cell. Under the direction of Dr. Winter succeeds in bringing the teleporter back to full capacity.
In the meantime, Caleb has found the other remote control and opens another wormhole to get on board the plane. In fact, a little later he finds himself in the on-board toilet. He meets David L. Martin and his partner Liam. Caleb tries to overpower the two men, but a shootout breaks out, in the course of which Caleb's wife Claire is killed. Since the machine is already too close to the vortex, parts of the outer shell are already struck by lightning and are literally cut out. Liam is also suddenly struck by lightning and disappears. Caleb manages to overpower David and pushes him through a hole in the fuselage so that it is blown out into space.
Since the remote control of Dr. Winter was destroyed (David had it with him when he was pushed off the plane), Caleb now uses his own and can teleport the plane back to its original location and time just in time, namely before the start of Flight 507. Before that he had a photo of Dr. Winter made to be reminded of the "security leak" on the day of departure.
So it happens that Caleb receives a message with the picture of Winter on his cell phone immediately before departure. He has been warned and lets Dr. Arrest Winter and David L. Martin and his accomplice Liam.
