The Jomsom Airport ( IATA : JMO , ICAO : VNJS ) is an airport in Jomsom , Nepal . The place is difficult to reach via a gravel road.

location

Due to its location and the relatively short runway, the airport is one of the most dangerous in the world. The airport is surrounded by more than 8,000 m high mountains and is itself at an altitude of 2,736 m. The route between Jomsom and Pokhara runs through a deep gorge between Annapurna (8,091 m) and Dhaulagiri ( 8,167 m) .
