The Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (IATA: RKT , ICAO: OMRK ; Arabic مطار رأس الخيمة الدولي) is the international airport of the Arab Emirates Ra’s al-Khaimah .

The airport was the home base for the airline RAK Airways until it ceased operations on January 1, 2014. During this time a connection to Europe was offered: RAK Airways flew on a full charter to Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel . Since then there have been no more scheduled flights.

Air Arabia resumed scheduled operations at this airport on May 6, 2014 . The airline has two Airbus A320-200 aircraft at the airport and flies to Cairo , Jeddah , Muscat , Islamabad , Lahore and Peshawar . Dhaka and Kolkata are to be added in summer 2014 .

Air Arabia is to become the new flag carrier of the Emirates Ra’s al-Khaimah . A corresponding contract has already been signed.

The German operator "FTI" will charter a Sunexpress Boeing 737-800 every day from winter 2015/2016 , thus launching a daily full charter from Germany to Ra's al-Khaimah. There are flights from Berlin, Hanover, Dresden, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Frankfurt am Main and Munich.
