The Folketing election in 1950 was the 43rd election to the Danish Folketing Parliament . It took place on September 5, 1950, with the exception of the Faroe Islands , where elections were not held until October 14, 1950. In the election, 151 MPs, 149 from the mainland and 2 from the Faroe Islands, were elected to the Folketing. The election winners were the Social Democrats with 59 seats. The turnout was 81.9% in Denmark and only 22% in the Faroe Islands.
