history

Jürgen Bergmann has lived on a forest farm in the Neißeauen north of Zentendorf near Görlitz since the 1980s . On July 1st, 1990 he founded the company "Künstlerische Holzgestaltung Jürgen Bergmann", which u. a. Manufactures playgrounds. Bergmann gradually bought up the surrounding land. He exhibited some of his objects on an adjacent property and made them accessible to the public. In 1992 a small art gallery was built. For the opening of the Kulturinsel Einsiedel in the same year, the Kulturinsel Einsiedel eV organized the first theater performance in the cleared barn, which was given the name Kulturscheune . In the following years the culture island was constantly expanded.

On January 31, 2013 applied for Bergmann in Dresden District Court the bankruptcy . However, the 2013 season began as planned on March 28, 2013. The background was a company construction in which both the tree house hotel and the amusement park as well as the timber construction company were combined in one and the same company. An imbalance in the timber construction company, despite full order books, has drawn the other two parts of the company into bankruptcy.

The ensuing insolvency proceedings came to a close with the result that on October 1, 2013, the newly founded Künstlerische Holzgestaltung Bergmann GmbH resumed the work of the Kulturinsel Einsiedel leisure park and the artistic wood design Bergmann. Its shareholders are made up of the Dresden-based HAESWE GmbH, the French camping company FranceLoc and Jürgen Bergmann's partner Doreen Stopporka, who is also the manager. Jürgen Bergmann continues to support the company as a consultant and expert in the leisure industry.

The Kulturinsel eV remained unaffected by the entire development.

Since 2014 the Kulturinsel Einsiedel has been expanding the area used as an amusement park area. To the east of the site, new attractions were gradually being built both in Germany and in the neighboring Polish village of Bielawa Dolna ( Nieder Bielau ) in the Pieńsk municipality . In the same year, a camping site for groups was set up in Poland. In 2016, a café with a framed escape game opened 300 m away .

Terrain remodeling has also started north of the theme park. The opening of this part of the park is planned for 2018.

In 2017 and 2018, the name changed gradually from Kulturinsel Einsiedel to The Secret World of Turisede . The old name remains in the address (Kulturinsel Einsiedel 1, 02829 Neißeaue).
