Forest ( French ) or Vorst ( Dutch ) is one of 19 municipalities in the bilingual Brussels-Capital Region in Belgium .
The community has 56,289 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) and is 6.3 square kilometers in size. Forest / Vorst is located in the south-west of the capital and borders the communities of Anderlecht , Saint-Gilles / Sint-Gillis , Ixelles / Elsene and Uccle / Ukkel in the Brussels-Capital Region, as well as the Flemish community Drogenbos .
In Forest / Vorst there are two large parks ( Parc de Forest / Park van Vorst and Parque de Duden / Dudenpark ), the St. Dionys Abbey and an Audi factory.
