Fort Morgan is a city in Morgan County in the US state of Colorado , and its county seat . It is administered as a Home Rule Municipality and had a population of around 11,300 in 2010.
The California Zephyr , an Amtrak- operated daily long-distance train between Chicago and Emeryville, stops here in both directions.
There are no scheduled flights at the local airport, Fort Morgan Municipal Airport .

By the Interstate 76 Fort Morgan is the 130 km southwest to Denver and Sterling with Interstate 80 in Big Springs , Nebraska connected. An interstate feeder connects Fort Morgan with Brush to the east . US Highway 34 also runs through the city, connecting Fort Morgan with Greeley and Loveland .
The starting point of Colorado State Highway 52 is in Fort Morgan. This leads north and ends at Colorado State Highway 14 , at Raymer . The local airport is also on this route.

At the time of the United States Census 2000, Fort Morgan was inhabited by 11,034 people. The population density was 955.2 people per km ². There were 4094 housing units at an average of 354.4 per km ². The population consisted of 74.43% of White , 0.28% Black or African American , 1.01% Native American , 0.18% Asian , 0.24% Pacific Islanders 20.62% said other races to belong and 3.24% named two or more races. 58.04% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latinos of any race.
