Foued Kadir ( Arabic فؤاد قادير, DMG Fu'ad Qādir ; * December 5, 1983 in Martigues , France ) is a French- Algerian football player on the position of midfielder .

Career

Club career

The French-born midfielder began his career in the youth team of French club Martigues . In 2004 he signed his first professional contract with French third division club AS Cannes , where he played three seasons, played 77 games and scored nine goals. In 2007 he moved to the second division for SC Amiens before signing with Valenciennes FC from Ligue 1 in 2009 .

On January 2, 2013, he moved to Olympique Marseille for a transfer fee of 500,000 euros , where he signed a contract dated until June 2016. However, Olympique loaned it out after a short time, initially to Stade Rennes and in 2014 to Betis Sevilla .

In 2015 he was signed by Betis Sevilla , but handed over to Getafe FC a year later . He spent the 2017/18 season with AD Alcorcón and since summer 2018 he has been under contract with the French fourth division club FC Martigues .

National team

For Algeria, he completed a training camp with the U-23 team in France for the first time in 2005, but was not used subsequently. In May 2010 he was appointed to the Algerian squad for the World Cup in South Africa. After he completed his first international match in the friendly against Ireland on May 28, 2010, he played all three preliminary round matches at the World Cup.

On October 9, 2011, Kadir made his first goal for Algeria when he scored the 2-0 final against Central Africa .
