Breakfast in Bed is a comedy by film director Eberhard Schäfer from 1982, produced by DEFA Studio for Feature Films (Potsdam-Babelsberg) for GDR television . Alfred Struwe , Herbert Köfer , Günter Schubert and Micaëla Kreißler play the leading roles .

The bachelor friends Winter and Martin go on a skiing holiday together. There they vie for the favor of the attractive Vera Urban. The two men, who have little experience in contact with women, depend on the help and advice of others. Mr. Martin support his two aunts Anna and Martha by teaching him to dance, among other things. Mr Winter, on the other hand, seeks his advice among ski guests. He notices that Vera's ex-husband Georg Hartmann is among the guests. But Hartmann is not interested in Vera, he only came because of their children Vera, Susanne and Rolf. Meanwhile, Mr. Martin was able to score with Vera and her three children with his efforts. Finally, the divorced mother finds a new man for herself in Mr. Martin.

The film had its television premiere on February 3, 1983 in the first channel of East German television. In October 2014 the film was released on DVD by Icestorm as part of the DDR TV Archive series .
