Günter Schubert

Günter Schubert (born April 8, 1938 in Weißwasser ; † January 2, 2008 in Berlin ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Schubert first learned the trade of goblet maker and also gained experience as an amateur actor in the workers ' theater in Bad Muskau and at the miners' theater in Senftenberg . His passion finally turned into his profession: he completed an actor training at his theater, passed his acting exam at the State Drama School in Berlin in 1962 and took on theater roles in Senftenberg from 1962. In 1964 he moved to the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam .

In 1970 Günter Schubert became a member of the actors' ensemble of the East German television , where he primarily took on comedic roles. Above all with the successful television series Zur See , in which he played the sailor Thomas Müller, he achieved his breakthrough. His roles in the series Willingness Dr. Federau and Treffpunkt Flughafen made him known to a wide audience. Schubert demonstrated a very good character study in particular in the episode Der Mann im Baum (1988) in the series Polizeiruf 110 , in which he played a sex offender with great intensity. He also appeared as a voice actor in various DEFA productions. For example, he voiced the role of Kjeld Jensen in films 4 and 5 of the Olsen Gang series.

Since 1999 he has played again in theater roles at the Comödie Dresden , z. B. in The Robbery of the Sabine Women or The Christmas Goose Auguste .

family

Günter Schubert lived in Potsdam since 1964 and also in Kienwerder near Potsdam until May 2007 . From 1964 until his divorce in 2003 he was married to his first wife, with whom he had two children: a daughter Babett (* 1967) and son Alexander (* 1970), actors like his father.

In 2004 he married his artist agent Petra Nathan, with whom he lived in Kienwerder and from 2007 in Berlin-Wilhelmsruh. On January 2, 2008, Günter Schubert died after a short, serious illness at the age of 69 in the “Havelhöhe” clinic in Berlin-Kladow . He found his final resting place in the Baltic Sea, near the island of Hiddensee.
