Alexander Schubert (* 1970 in Potsdam ) is a German actor .

Life

Alexander Schubert is the son of the actor Günter Schubert . After an apprenticeship as a film plasterer (Production Designer) 1986-1988 in the DEFA Studio for Feature Films , he from 1988 to 1992 freelancer including as a film designer , set dresser , location scout , manager and assistant business. From 1992 to 1998 he was trained at the "Konrad Wolf" University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg .

He first gained fame in the Sat.1 sketch comedy Zack! Made-to-measure comedy as a sketch partner of Volker Michalowski . On January 4, 2008, the sketch comedy Two Funny - Die Sketch Comedy started , in which Schubert appeared together with Judith Richter until 2009 . She was nominated for the German Comedy Award in 2008. He was also one of the main cast of the sketch - comedy series Sketch History , the ZDF produced from 2015 to 2019. The series won the German Comedy Award in 2016, 2017 and 2018 in the Best Sketch Show category . In the ZDF broadcast heute-show he has played the outside reporter and expert Albrecht (von) Humboldt since 2010 .

He made his debut as a feature film director with the film comedy Faking Bullshit (2020), for which he also wrote the screenplay.

Schubert lives in his native Potsdam and has a daughter.
