François Blondel (Bishop)

François Marie Joseph Pascal Louis Blondel (born March 24, 1940 in Limoges , France ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus bishop of Viviers .

Life

François Blondel received on 27 June 1965, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 15, 1999, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Viviers. The Archbishop of Lyon , Louis-Marie Billé , donated him episcopal ordination on January 9, 2000 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Limoges , Léon Soulier , and the Bishop of Nice , Jean Bonfils SMA .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on May 22, 2015.
