Fran Jović (born June 13, 1984 in Zagreb , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian football referee . He has been an official FIFA referee since 2014.
Career
Jović, who is a lawyer by profession , has been whistling games in the 1st HNL , the highest Croatian football league , since 2009 . He made his debut on October 17, 2009. In 2014, he also directed the qualifying game between Armenia and Belarus for the 2015 U-21 European Championship . He also belonged to the group of referees for qualifying for the 2014/15 Europa League , but was the only one not assigned a game. In qualifying for the U-19 European Championship in 2015, he whistled two games in Gibraltar in November 2014. He has also been a referee within the UEFA Youth League since 2014 . In the UEFA Champions League , Jović was fourth official in the game between AEL Limassol and Zenit Saint Petersburg on July 30, 2014 .
For the U-17 European Football Championship in Azerbaijan in 2016 , Jović was again part of the referee line-up and whistled four games in the tournament, including the quarter-finals between Portugal and Austria .
