Francesco Imberti (Bishop)
Francesco Imberti (born December 25, 1882 in Gressan in the Aosta Valley , Italy , † January 27, 1967 in Saint-Pierre ) was an Italian clergyman. He was Bishop of Aosta in the Italian Aosta Valley and then Archbishop of Vercelli .
Life
Francesco Imberti was ordained a priest on June 29, 1906 . On July 23, 1932 he was from Pius XI. appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Aosta . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of Sassari Maurilio Fossati , the same year on September 11.
On October 10, 1945, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Archbishop of Vercelli. 1966 his resignation by Paul VI. granted, and he was appointed titular bishop of Vulturia.
