Francesco Marcello Ruggirello
Francesco Marcello Ruggirello (born December 7, 1929 in Tunis , † August 5, 2010 in Rome ) was an Italian diplomat .
Education
He received his secondary education at the Lycée Carnot and studied with Raymond Barre economy at Sciences Po . In 1959, he graduated in law at the La Sapienza University and joined the Foreign Service.
Life
In 1963 he became Vice Consul in Le Havre . From 1966 to 1968 he was consul in Montreal . From 1969 to 1971 he was in Brussels at the permanent representation of Italy to the EEC. From 1972 he was employed in the Migration Department, which he headed in 1976.
From 1976 to 1980 he was counselor in Tunis . From 1981 to 1985 he was counselor in Buenos Aires . From July 23, 1986 to March 14, 1992 he was ambassador to Guatemala City . From April 1, 1992 to December 31, 1994 he was ambassador to San Marino . In 1994 he was retired .
