Francesco Maria Fenzi

Francesco Maria Fenzi (born March 24, 1738 in Zadar , Republic of Venice , † January 9, 1829 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman, Archbishop of Corfu and Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem .

Life

Francesco Maria Fenzi received on 5 June 1762 sacrament of Holy Orders .

On September 20, 1779 he was appointed Archbishop of Corfu. The episcopal ordination donated him the next day Cardinal Carlo Rezzonico , Cardinal Bishop of Porto e Santa Rufina ; Co-consecrators were Archbishop Carlo Camuzi and Bishop Pier Luigi Galletti OSB . Bishop Fenzi's entry into Corfu describes Ferdinand Gregorovius in his book Wanderjahre in Italien .

On January 3, 1816 , Francesco Maria Fenzi resigned to the archbishopric of Corfu. He was promoted to Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem on September 23, 1816.
