Francis Ronald Reiss (born November 11, 1940 in Detroit , USA ) is an American clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Detroit .

Life

Francis Ronald Reiss received on 4 June 1966 by the archbishop of Detroit, John Francis Dearden , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 7 July 2003 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Remesiana and auxiliary bishop in Detroit. The Archbishop of Detroit, Adam Joseph Cardinal Maida , donated him episcopal ordination on August 12 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the President of the Governorate of Vatican City , Edmund Casimir Cardinal Szoka , and the auxiliary bishop emeritus in Detroit, Walter Joseph Schoenherr .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on November 11th.
