Francis Ridgley Cotton (born September 19, 1895 in Bardstown , Kentucky , USA , † September 25, 1960 ) was Bishop of Owensboro .

Life

Francis Ridgley Cotton received on 17 June 1920, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 16, 1937, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the first bishop of the newly established Diocese of Owensboro. The Archbishop of Louisville , John Alexander Floersh , donated him episcopal ordination on February 24, 1938 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Trenton , Moses Elias Kiley , and the Bishop of Superior , Theodore Mary Reverman .
