The Diocese of Owensboro ( Latin Dioecesis Owensburgensis , English Diocese of Owensboro ) is a Roman Catholic diocese located in Kentucky in the United States , with its seat in Owensboro .

Pope Pius XI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Universi catholici on December 9, 1937 from cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Louisville , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese.

The Diocese of Owensboro includes the Counties Allen, Ballard, Breckinridge, Butler, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Daviess, Edmonson, Fulton, Graves, Grayson, Hancock, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins, Livingston, Logan, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, Muhlenberg, McLean, Ohio, Simpson, Todd, Trigg, Union, Warren, and Webster of Kentucky State.
