The Diocese of Greensburg ( lat. : Dioecesis Greensburgensis ) is in the United States located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Greensburg , Pennsylvania .

history

The diocese Greensburg was on March 10, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Ex supremi from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as a suffragan .

The Diocese of Greensburg comprises the areas of Armstrong County , Fayette County , Indiana County and Westmoreland County in the state of Pennsylvania .
