Edward Charles Malesic (born August 14, 1960 in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania , USA ) is an American clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic Bishop of Cleveland .

Life

Edward Malesic received the sacrament of ordination for the Diocese of Harrisburg on May 30, 1987 .

On April 24, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Greensburg . The Archbishop of Philadelphia , Charles Joseph Chaput OFMCap , ordained him episcopal on July 13 of that year . Co- consecrators were his predecessor Lawrence Eugene Brandt and the Bishop of Harrisburg, Ronald William Gainer .

On July 16, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Cleveland.
