Lawrence Eugene Brandt (born March 27, 1939 in Charleston ) is an American clergyman and emeritus Catholic bishop of Greensburg .

Life

The Rector of the Pontifical North America College , James Aloysius Hickey , ordained him a priest on December 19, 1969 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Greensburg on January 2, 2004 . He received his episcopal ordination on March 4th of the same year by the Archbishop of Philadelphia , Justin Francis Rigali ; Co- consecrators were Anthony Gerard Bosco , Old Bishop of Greensburg, and Donald Walter Trautman , Bishop of Erie .

On April 24, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
