Själevad is the main town of the Själevad parish in the historical Swedish province of Ångermanland , with the main church Själevads kyrka . It is located by the lake Själevadsfjärden , about 6 km west of the center of Örnsköldsvik in the province of Västernorrland County . Själevad has been part of the Örnsköldsvik crime scene since 1970 .
Själevad is home to the sports club Själevads IK , whose women's football team played in the top Swedish league, Damallsvenskan , in 2004 and 2005 .
