The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kalamazoo ( lat. : Dioecesis Kalamazuensis ) is in the United States located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Kalamazoo . It includes the nine counties of Allegan, Barry, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph and Branch of the state of Michigan .

history

Pope Paul VI founded it on December 19, 1970 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Lansing and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Detroit as a suffragan diocese.
