The Roman Catholic Diocese of Cheyenne ( lat. : Dioecesis Cheyennensis ) is in the United States located Roman Catholic diocese based in Cheyenne . It covers the entire state of Wyoming , making it one of the few bishoprics whose borders are congruent with those of a US state.
history
Pope Leo XIII. founded it on August 2, 1887 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Omaha .
