The Rockville Center ( Latin Dioecesis Petropolitana in Insula Longa , English Diocese of Rockville Center ) located in the USA is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its seat in Rockville Center , Hempstead .

The diocese was created on April 6, 1957 through spin-offs from the diocese of Brooklyn and is subordinate to the Archdiocese of New York as a suffragan . It covers the two eastern counties of Long Island : Nassau and Suffolk .
