Located in the USA , the Diocese of Gaylord (Latin Dioecesis Gaylordensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its seat in Gaylord (Michigan) . It was founded on December 19, 1970 with a size of 28,922 km² from areas of the dioceses of Grand Rapids and Saginaw . As such, it is suffragan of the ecclesiastical province of Detroit .
