Cathedral of Saint Paul in Birmingham

The Diocese of Birmingham was created on June 28, 1969 as a result of the division of the Diocese of Mobile-Birmingham and was subordinated to the Archdiocese of New Orleans as a suffragan . On July 29, 1980, the diocese of Birmingham was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mobile as a suffragan.
