Francisco Alberto García (born December 31, 1981 in San Francisco de Macorís , Dominican Republic ) is a Dominican basketball player who was last in the NBA with the Houston Rockets . García is best known as a good shooter.

Career

García initially played three years at the University of Louisville under coach Rick Pitino . In the 2005 NBA draft , the Sacramento Kings selected him in 23rd place. In total, García played for the Kings for seven years. From the third year he became an important player from the bench with the Kings, who regularly scored 10 points on average. After that, injuries always forced him to suspend games.

On February 20, 2013 he was transferred to the Houston Rockets along with Thomas Robinson and Tyler Honeycutt for Patrick Patterson and other players . In 2013 he extended his expiring contract with the Rockets. On August 5, 2013 García signed a new contract with the Rockets.

On December 19, 2014, he was released from the Rockets after acquiring Corey Brewer and Alexey Shved . He then did not find a job in the NBA and played briefly for Vaqueros de Bayamón in Puerto Rico in 2016 .
