Franco Scala

Franco Scala (* 1937 in Imola ) is an Italian pianist and piano teacher . He studied first at the Giovanni Battista Martini Conservatory in Bologna and then with Carlo Zecchi at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. For 30 years he taught at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica "Gioachino Rossini" in Pesaro and then founded the International Piano Academy Incontri col Maestro in Imola, where numerous winners of renowned piano competitions have studied. There he is also director.
