Franco Sosa , full name Franco Ariel Sosa Portela , (born August 12, 1983 or December 8, 1983 in Tacuarembó ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.71 meter tall midfielder Sosa was a member of the North Uruguayan first division club Tacuarembó FC from the 2003 Apertura up to and including the 2008 Clausura . In the 2003 season he completed 22 games in the Primera División and scored one goal. In the Apertura 2008 and the Clausura 2009 he ran in 23 league games in the Honduran Liga Nacional for the CD Marathón and scored one goal. He was also used seven times (no goal) in the Liga Campeones . He then returned to Tacuarembó FC and played 25 first division games (five goals) in the 2009/10 season. In 2010 a career station followed in Peru at FBC Melgar . The statistics show 19 games and one goal for him. In the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons he will be part of the Guatemalan club Xelajú . While two goals were recorded for the first season, he made 47 league appearances and three goals in the second season. In mid-2012 he joined the first division club Cerro Largo FC . At the East Uruguayan club, he was in nine games (one goal) in the Primera División in 2012/13. In January 2013 he moved to Deportivo La Guaira in Venezuela . Seven times (no goal) he came there in the Primera División to train. In August 2013 he returned to the starting point of his career and rejoined the Tacuarembó FC. He was in the 2013/14 season with the team champion of the Segunda División and contributed with 16 second division appearances and one goal. In the 2014/15 season he was used six times (no goal) in the Primera División . At the end of the season he was relegated with the club. Eleven league appearances (two goals) were recorded for the 2015/16 season. After twelve more second division appearances (one goal) in the 2016 season, Deportivo Mictlán signed him in mid-January 2017 . For the Guatemalans he has so far (as of March 3, 2017) in seven league games (no goal).
