Frank Mancuso junior

Frank Mancuso junior (born October 9, 1958 in Buffalo , New York ) is an American film producer .

Life

Mancuso was born to Frank Mancuso, Sr., who held senior positions at Paramount Pictures and MGM . Mancuso himself began his career in the film business in the early 1980s, initially as a producer of horror films . He produced several parts of the Friday the 13th film series as well as the occasional comedy such as Wedding with Obstacles (1983). By the end of the decade, he turned to television and served as executive producer on the series Heirs of the Curse (1987-1990) and the short-lived production War of the Worlds . In the latter, he was responsible for the production of the second season, the original title of which was converted into War of the Worlds: The Second Invasion .

In the decades to come he remained true to the horror genre, but also produced action films and some science fiction films , which, however, are interspersed with elements of horror.
