Frank Terletzki (born August 5, 1950 in Berlin ) is a former German soccer player and later coach . In the top division of GDR football , the Oberliga , he played for BFC Dynamo . With the East German Olympic team that brought midfielder at the 1980 Olympic Games , the silver medal .
Athletic career
BSG and club stations
Frank Terletzki came to BFC Dynamo from SG Prenzlauer Berg in 1966. From March 1970 to 1986 Terletzki played for the East Berlin soccer club in its first team in the GDR league . The goal-threatening midfielder scored 91 goals for the Berlin team in 373 games - placing him eighth in the all-time list of the top league players. The long-time captain of the BFC Dynamo celebrated eight GDR championship titles between 1979 and his departure from the league squad. However, there was also something unfinished in his career: "Tucker" was five times with the BFC in the FDGB Cup final and five times left the field as a loser. At the end of the 1980s he let his career run out at SG Falkensee / Finkenkrug.
Selection bets
In the senior national team of the GDR , he made four appearances and one goal. Terletzki had his greatest success in 1980 with the Olympic selection , with which he won the silver medal in the football competition of the Olympic Games in Moscow . He was used in all six games and was able to score three goals. With his teammates he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze in the same year .
Coaching career
After his career as a player, the mechanical engineer became a trainer. He finally came to SV Germania 90 Schöneiche via Motor Baumschulenweg in 1996 , where he celebrated his greatest success as a coach when he rose with the club from the regional league to the association league in 1999. After he was dismissed from Schöneiche in 2004, he took over the coaching position at MSV 19 Rüdersdorf . After an engagement as a coach of TSG Rot-Weiß Fredersdorf / Vogelsdorf in the district league Märkisch-Oderland, Terletzki trained the second team of the FSV Bernau (district league Barnim) from the beginning of 2013. In 2019/20 he coached TSG Rot-Weiß Fredersdorf / Vogelsdorf again.
Further career
Terletzki now lives in Schöneiche and sometimes plays for the Hertha BSC oldies .
