Fransiskus Xaverius Rocharjanta Prajasuta
Fransiskus Xaverius Rocharjanta Prajasuta MSF (born November 3, 1931 in Nguntaranadi , † July 28, 2015 in Yogyakarta ) was an Indonesian Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Banjarmasin .
Life
Fransiskus Xaverius Rocharjanta Prajasuta joined the Order of Missionaries of the Holy Family and was ordained a priest on December 19, 1959 . From 1966 he worked in the seminary of Yogyakarta.
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Banjarmasin on June 6, 1983. The bishop emeritus of Banjarmasin, Wilhelmus Joannes Demarteau MSF, donated him episcopal ordination on October 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Hieronymus Herculanus Bumbun OFMCap , Archbishop of Pontianak and Apostolic Administrator of Sanggau , and Francis Xavier Sudartanta Hadisumarta OCarm , Bishop of Malang . On June 14, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement. He died of kidney failure in July 2015.
He composed some songs that were included in the liturgy in Indonesia.
