Franz Bauer (politician, 1936)

Franz Bauer (born December 4, 1936 in Latsch ) is a South Tyrolean politician.

Life

Bauer completed a degree in cultural engineering and forest science at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna . From 1968 he worked as a hydraulic engineer in the public service. At first, Bauer was politically active in the youth organization of the South Tyrolean People's Party , the Young Generation . In 1969 he was elected to the Laces municipal council and committee for the first time. From 1977 to 1988 he was the mayor of his home parish. In 1988 he was elected for the SVP in the South Tyrolean state parliament and at the same time the regional council Trentino-South Tyrol , of which he was a member until 1993. From 1989 to 1994, Bauer was also a member of the regional government as a regional assessor for the land register and cadastre .
